Korea is one of Asia's biggest hybrid and EV producers — the Hyundai Ioniq, Kia EV6, and Genesis GV60 are all available on Encar at competitive prices. But importing a hybrid or EV needs an extra layer of inspection beyond a regular petrol car.

Battery health check before you buy

  • Battery State of Health (capacity degradation percentage)
  • History of frequent fast-charging, which accelerates wear
  • Any prior battery pack or cell module replacement

Customs differences for hybrid and electric imports

Some Gulf countries offer customs exemptions or reductions for electric vehicles as part of sustainability policies — worth checking before you buy, since the difference can meaningfully change your final landed cost.

We request the battery health report for every hybrid or EV before sending a quote — contact us to see what's currently available.
