Documents for importing a car to the UAE from Korea

Importing a car from Korea to the UAE differs from Saudi Arabia: ports (Jebel Ali or Abu Dhabi), post-arrival registration, and a typical max age around 4–5 years depending on emirate and use. This guide lists documents we prepare in Korea and what you handle locally.

Documents from Korea (shipped with the car)

  • Purchase invoice / export contract in your or your company name
  • Ocean bill of lading to Jebel Ali or Abu Dhabi
  • Certificate of origin and Korean export certificate
  • Encar inspection report and Korean ID/plate copies when required

After arrival in the UAE

You typically need customs clearance, a registration inspection (RTA-type centers), and UAE insurance before plates. Non-GCC-spec cars may need modifications or can be refused — we verify year and specs before purchase. Contact us with budget and port for an all-in quote.
