Important notes
- FCR privilege: Tunisians who have lived abroad for at least 2 years may import one vehicle with customs duty and VAT waived — either a full exemption (special N.T plate, resale prohibited) or paying 25% of duties (normal plates, immediately sellable). Granted once every 10 years.
- Port and inspection charges remain payable even under an FCR exemption.
